‘The Family Man 3’ returns after four years, premieres on Nov 21

Los Angeles, Nov 13 (UNI) After a four-year wait, Prime Video’s hit spy thriller ‘The Family Man’ is back with Season 3, premiering worldwide on November 21. Cast and creators say the extended break was necessary to maintain the show’s high standards.

“We didn’t want to rush it,” co-creator Raj told Variety. “It takes time to develop the story, especially the antagonists, and ensure the quality fans expect.”

Manoj Bajpayee reprises his role as Srikant Tiwari, now facing new threats and personal challenges. “He’s in a different age, with a different nemesis,” Bajpayee said. “This season, he’s not on top of the game,” as quoted by Variety.

The season introduces two formidable villains: Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Meera (Nimrat Kaur), set across Mumbai and Nagaland. Returning cast members, including Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, and Stanley Tucci, praised the collaborative environment fostered by creators Raj and DK.

“The Family Man 3 explores fresh territories while keeping the characters grounded in reality,” writer-director Suman Kumar said to Variety.

Dialogue writer Sumit Arora said the team aimed to capture contemporary language and emotions, reflecting the natural evolution of the family over time.

Prime Video India’s Nikhil Madhok emphasized quality over speed, “A great series takes three to four years to put together—it’s like making two and a half movies.”

The cast and creators also hinted at a potential Season 4 but affirmed that it would only happen with a compelling story.

Other returning stars include Vedant Sinha, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Gul Panag, Seema Biswas, Jugal Hansraj, and Aditya Srivastava.
