Textbooks should be published on time: Minister

  • Books are being published in tribal and regional dialects

Bhopal: School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh has directed the departmental officials that the children studying in the school in the year 2025-26 academic session in the state should have easy access to the textbooks as soon as the academic session starts. Minister Mr. Singh was addressing the meeting of Madhya Pradesh Textbook Corporation in the Ministry on Monday. He inquired about the distribution system of textbooks.

It was told in the meeting that in the National Education Policy-2020, it has been recommended to teach the children studying in the school in their regional dialects. Accordingly, the Textbook Corporation is publishing story books on tribal and regional dialects in multilingual language in the state.

The preparation of curriculum and the training system of teachers were also discussed in the meeting. The officials of the Textbook Corporation gave information about the publication of textbooks and their distribution system in the last academic session. Commissioner of Public Education Mrs. Shilpa Gupta, Director State Education Center Mr. Harjinder Singh, Managing Director of Textbook Corporation Mr. Vinay Nigam and departmental officials were present in the meeting.
