SIMI terrorist Abu Faizal, lodged in the central jail of the capital, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA court in the jail break case.
Abu Faizal was booked for jail break, murder of a jail guard and attempt to murder another jail guard. According to the information, in October 2016, eight SIMI terrorists lodged in Central Jail, Bhopal had committed a jailbreak. Abu Faizal was the mastermind of the jailbreak. During the jailbreak, SIMI terrorists had killed a jail guard, whereas another jail guard was fatally attacked and injured.
However, after the jailbreak was revealed, the police surrounded eight terrorists. Then SIMI terrorists opened fire on the police on the hill of Accharpura. All the eight terrorists who escaped after breaking the jail were killed in police action in retaliatory firing by the police.
