Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (Telangana), Dec 7 (UNI) Five youths lost their lives, and one sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in lost control and plunged into a village tank at Jalalpur in Bhoodan Pochampally Mandal of this district in the early hours of Saturday.
The car’s occupants were travelling from Hyderabad to Bhoodan Pochampally at the time of the accident, according to the police.
One of the occupants managed to swim safely and reach the tank bund to seek help.
Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and retrieved the car from the tank.
The deceased were identified as Harsha, Dinesh, Vamshi, Balu, and Vinay. The injured individual was admitted to the Bhuvanagiri government hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added.
