Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: An 18-year-old girl, Neha Kushwaha, tragically died in the Sukhi Sewania area after consuming sulphas tablets. While her family initially reported a potential accidental ingestion, police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to authorities, Neha, a resident of Barkheda Abdullah village, was present when her father placed sulphas tablets near newly arrived wheat sacks on Monday. Shortly after he left the room, she began vomiting severely. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Patel Nagar, Neha succumbed late that night.
Police, upon receiving information from the hospital, initiated an immediate investigation at the scene. No suicide note was discovered, and Neha reportedly did not use a mobile phone. While the family’s initial account pointed towards accidental consumption of the agricultural fumigant, a case has been registered, and authorities are conducting further inquiries to ascertain the precise details of this heartbreaking incident. The investigation will aim to clarify the events leading to Neha’s death and address the family’s initial statement.
