Teaser poster of ‘Lakadbaggha 2: The Money Business’ unveiled on Anshuman Jha’s birthday

Mumbai, (UNI) The teaser poster of the forthcoming action thriller “Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business” has been unveiled, coinciding with the birthday of actor-director Anshuman Jha.

The film focuses on the rare and endangered Celebes crested macaque, a unique monkey species endemic to Indonesia and also known as the North Sulawesi Yaki Monkey.

Along with the teaser poster, the makers have also announced that the film will release in theaters worldwide on Diwali 2026. Prior to its global release, the film will also be screened at several major international film festivals between June and November.

Directed by Anshuman Jha, the film continues the story of Arjun Bakshi from Kolkata. Arjun is a vigilant animal rescuer who deeply loves animals and is willing to go to any lengths to protect them from cruelty and exploitation. This time, his journey reaches the jungles of West Java, Indonesia. Moving beyond India, the sequel also tackles the global issue of wildlife trafficking, which is rampant in Southeast Asia.

Along with Anshuman Jha, the film also stars Sarah Jane Dias, Adil Hussain, and Vikram Kochhar. International martial arts star Sunny Pang, who recently appeared in the film Havoc alongside Tom Hardy, is also a part of the film, along with several international actors, including Ong-Bak’s Dan Chupong.

Anshuman Jha said, “This film is deeply personal to me. Lord Hanuman has been my inspiration since childhood. For me, he symbolizes strength, loyalty, courage, and service. This film is not just a sequel to Lakadbaggha, but a small cinematic tribute to Lord Hanuman, a symbol of the spirit of never giving up, and a humble homage to the amazing animals that share this earth with us. This project also reflects my belief that humanity’s relationship with nature should be based on respect and responsibility. I truly believe that simplicity is a true superpower.”
