Bhopal: A cleanliness drive was organized in Bhojpur temple premises on Monday under the aegis of the Tourism Department. It was held under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. The message of patriotism was given by hoisting the tricolor at various places.
The chief guest at the program was Dr. Manoj Kumar Kurmi, Superintendent Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India, Bhopal Division. Special guests included Vijay Kumar Sharma, Conservation Assistant (Bhojpur and Bhimbetka Incharge, ASI) and KK Singh from Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.
155 participants took part in the campaign and collected about 180 kg of garbage. The participants not only gave the message of cleaning the environment but also brought alive the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.
The guests and participants appreciated the collective commitment of Dr. Vishal Singh Sengar, Program Coordinator BSSS towards cleanliness and respect for the tricolor.
The aim of this initiative was to spread awareness among the public about the importance of cleanliness, to increase respect for the national flag as well as to promote public participation in the protection of historical and cultural sites.
