- Family alleges murder over old rivalry
Bhopal: A 21-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances in the Arera Hills police station area of Bhopal, triggering allegations of murder by his family. The body of the youth was found inside his own house, and relatives claimed that foam was coming from his mouth, raising serious doubts about the cause of death.
The deceased has been identified as Vicky Silawat (21), a resident near the sports hostel in the Bhim Nagar area. Late Thursday night, Vicky was found lying unconscious at home. When his brother Vikas reached the spot after being informed, he found Vicky dead and immediately alerted the police.
The family has alleged murder, citing an old rivalry. According to Vikas, Vicky had an ongoing dispute with a youth from the same locality, who had earlier attacked him with a knife. An FIR for attempted murder had already been registered in that case. The family insists Vicky was neither under mental stress nor suicidal and suspects he was either strangled or administered a poisonous substance.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for post-mortem. Officials said the exact cause of death will be clear only after the report is received, following which further legal action will be taken.
