Ten successful years of tiger re-establishment in tiger-zero Panna Tiger Reserve in November-2009 are being completed. Panna has not only illuminated the name of the state, but also the country in the world of wildlife. The ceremony was held at Hinauta of Panna Tiger Reserve to relive the memories of the challenges, difficulties, successes etc. of tiger re-introduction.
At the ceremony, the then field director associated with tiger re-establishment and currently the Member Secretary, Biodiversity Board, Shri R. Officers and employees, including Srinivas Murthy, Conservator of Forests Shri Ravikant Mishra, Shri Vikram Singh Parihar, Forest Divisional Officer Shri Anupam Sahai shared their experiences. MLAs Mr. Brijendra Pratap Singh, Kunwar Vikram Singh, Mr. Lokendra Singh, Friends of Panna were also present.
Awarded 100 officers and employees for outstanding work
The present field director Shri Bhadauria presented the achievements of 10 years. More than 100 employees who did outstanding work at the ceremony were awarded and members of Friends of Panna were honored.
Main function to be held in Khajuraho
Mr. Murthy informed that the re-establishment of the success of tigers in Panna Tiger Reserve will be celebrated on a grand scale in Khajuraho in the decade of February-2020. The Chief Minister and the Forest Minister will also participate in this ceremony to be held at the international level.
