- Instructions given to officials of T&CP, Cooperation and Municipal Corporation
Bhopal: Minister Krishna Gaur has pledged decisive action against land mafias attempting to seize plots belonging to Sarvodaya and Jan-Sahyog Samiti members in Khajuri Kala, BHEL. During a meeting Monday, she assured residents their interests would be safeguarded, instructing officials from Town and Country Planning (T&CP), Cooperation, and the Municipal Corporation to intervene.
Residents reported paying development fees to Sarvodaya Samiti in the 1980s and later to Jan Sahyog Samiti. Now, a land mafia is allegedly attempting to usurp their plots, illegally converting park and amenity spaces into residential plots.
Minister Gaur expressed concern over unauthorized construction of roads and drains, questioning how such development could occur without municipal approval. She demanded immediate action to halt illegal activities and protect the legitimate plot owners.
“How can plots reserved for parks be converted into residential areas?” she questioned, emphasizing the need for swift intervention. She directed officials to stop all illegal construction and manipulation. Gaur’s firm stance underscores the government’s commitment to protecting citizens from land encroachment and ensuring proper urban development.
