Stolen goods worth Rs 1.40 lakh recovered from 2 suspects

Bhopal: Bagsevania police arrested two smart criminals and recovered stolen goods worth Rs 1.40 lakh from them. During interrogation, two incidents in the area were revealed. The arrested accused are the monitored criminals of Habibganj. More than a dozen crimes have been registered against both of them. DCP Zone No. 2 Sanjay Agarwal said that the criminals jumped over the boundary wall of a house located near Saket Nagar drain and stole gold and silver jewellery.

Similarly, goods worth thousands including jewellery were stolen by cutting the grill of the window of an empty house located in BHEL Sangam Colony. After inspecting the spot, different teams were deployed to search for the criminals. After watching the footage of about 90 CCTV cameras installed in the area and the road, one of the accused was taken into custody and questioned. He confessed to committing both the crimes and selling the stolen goods to another youth.

Externed criminal arrested in Arera Hills

Arera Hills police station has arrested an exiled criminal. Action has been taken against him under NSA. According to the police, the accused Akash Chaudhary alias Akku (23) is a resident of Bhimnagar near Gopal Kirana Store. The Police Commissioner had issued an exile order against him on November 5 last year. The order said that the criminal should appear at the Arera Hills police station on the 15th of every month and mark his attendance. In compliance with this order, when the criminal Akash did not appear at the police station in the month of December, a case of violation of the order was registered against him recently. When the police team reached for checking on Tuesday, the accused was found near the house, who was arrested.
