Bhopal: A 12-year-old girl living in Nishatpura was molested by her stepfather. When the wife protested, the accused beat her up. On the wife’s report, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections of assault, molestation and POCSO Act.
According to the police, a woman living in the area has divorced her husband. About two months ago, she married another person. After living in her in-laws’ house for about two weeks, the woman started living in her maternal home.
Her twelve-year-old daughter and eight-year-old son also live with her. On September 21, in the afternoon, the woman had gone to the roof to dry clothes, when her second husband arrived home. When the woman came down after drying the clothes, she saw that her husband was committing indecent acts with her daughter. When the woman protested, the husband beat her up. When the daughter tried to intervene, she was also beaten up. When the mother inquired, the daughter told that he had done such a thing earlier also.
On Monday, the victim made an application and then reached the police station with her daughter. The police have registered a case against the accused.

Watchman ends life by hanging
A watchman of a farm house located in village Imliya under Sukhi Sewania police station committed suicide by hanging himself. The police registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. The deceased lived alone and no suicide note was found with him. According to the police, Kamlesh Gurjar (43) was originally from Hoshangabad. He was working as a watchman at Pradeep Jain’s farm house located in village Imliya for the last about twenty years. Pradeep Jain works in property. Pradeep’s son reached the farm house on Monday morning and after meeting Kamlesh, went to the site. When he reached the farm house again at around one o’clock in the afternoon, Kamlesh was found hanging from the noose. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, registered a case and sent the body for postmortem. Kamlesh was illiterate. No suicide note has been found from him.

Elderly prisoner dies during treatment
An elderly prisoner serving life sentence in Central Jail died due to illness. According to the police, Ramdayal Rai (81) was originally a resident of Ashok Nagar. He was serving sentence in Bhopal Central Jail for the last three years in a murder case. Two other members of his family are also serving sentence in the same jail with him. Ramdayal was suffering from many types of diseases, for which he was being treated in the jail hospital. When his health deteriorated a few days ago, he was taken to Hamidia Hospital, where he died on Sunday. The police registered a case and after conducting the postmortem, handed over the body to the family.

Miscreant attacks woman with knife
A miscreant entered the house of a woman living in Piplani area and attacked her with a knife. While trying to intervene, the woman’s daughter also got injured. When the mother and daughter raised an alarm, the miscreant threatened them and fled. At present, the reason for the attack is not known. The police is searching for the miscreant based on the description given.
