Bhopal: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is poised to become a major centre for the semiconductor and electronic components industry. The state is rushing toward leading the new technological revolution and attracting significant investments.
At the MP Tech Growth Conclave 2025, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Shri Sanjay Dubey addressed the Roundtable Conference-4 on the theme “Madhya Pradesh – The Next Destination for Semiconductors and ESDM” held at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore on Sunday. He elaborated on the state’s semiconductor policy and the financial and non-financial incentives being offered to investors by the government.
Industry leaders shared their views
Prominent industry leaders and investors, including Project Director MPSEDC Shri Guru Prasad, Dr. Mani Madhukar (Program Lead, Semiconductor Ecosystem – IBM India), and Shri Abhishek Kumar, Managing Director, Kedara, participated in the session and shared their views and suggestions.
Dubey stated that the rapid development of Tier-2 cities like Indore and Bhopal is significantly strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s technological standing. He highlighted that the state’s strategic location, fast-track approvals, modern infrastructure, and progressive policies are accelerating technological growth. Special facilities are being offered for semiconductor component manufacturing, electronic product development, innovation, and chip design companies.
Dubey further added that the state government is actively promoting innovation through IT Parks, Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and a robust startup culture. During the conference, investors expressed appreciation for the state’s Semiconductor Policy 2025, describing it as highly attractive. They also offered valuable suggestions for further developing the semiconductor and related sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
