Chennai, Dec 14 (UNI) Asserting that the BJP can’t be allowed to win over Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister and ruling DMK president MK Stalin today dared union Home Minister and the saffron party’s strategist saying ‘even if he brings the entire army of Sangh Parivar, Tamil Nadu will remain insurmountable’.
Reacting to Shah’s recent remark that after Bihar, the BJP’s next target is Tamil Nadu, the DMK chief said “Tamil Nadu will remain insurmountable for the Saffron Parivar to scale. It will continue to be so even if Amit Shah brings the entire army of the Sangh Parivar, he can’t win the state.”
He was addressing the North Zone meeting of DMK Youth Wing functionaries at the pilgrim town of Tiruvannamalai in the evening.
“We will embrace you if you come with love, but if it is with hatred and arrogance we will defeat you,” Stalin maintained, citing a popular punch dialogue by the villain in a Rajinikanth movie ‘en characteraiye purinjika maatenguriye’ (you never understand my character).
“The BJP and the rightwing forces have become more aggressive than ever before since the saffron party took over the reins of the union Government for the third time. They are sneaking into social media groups of even families and post poisonous messages and the best way to counter them is through ideological response,” he said, noting this had placed greater responsibility on the secular forces like the DMK.
“We have to protect not only Tamil and Tamil Nadu. Saving the entire country from the onslaught of fascism rests on our shoulders,” Stalin pointed out, urging the youth wing cadre to be with the people and taking home the welfare programmes and developmental initiatives as well as the betrayals of the previous AIADMK government.
On the upcoming 2026 assembly election, he said “the question before the people is whether Tamil Nadu should move ahead for the next 50 years or go backward. And our mission is Dravidian Model 2.0.”
Speaking earlier, Udhayanidhi too threw the gauntlet at Amit Shah, saying his remark that Tamil Nadu is the BJP’s next target will remain a pipe dream since the state has always remained ‘out of control of Delhi’.
“Tamil Nadu is not Bihar or Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh which you have won. We will not allow you to enter TN. BJP might think that it is a charging elephant, but the fact remains it is Stalin who holds the ‘ankush’ to tame it into submission.”
“Some people are attempting to coerce the DMK into submission through the CBI and ED. But, we can never be intimidated into surrender. We will trounce the fascist forces as well as their slaves and collaborators. When Anna (DMK founder CN Annadurai), launched the party, he had made it clear that Tamil Nadu will steadfastly oppose Delhi’s hegemony. And the DMK has the responsibility of saving Tamil Nadu from the looming fascist threat,” he said.
On the AIADMK’s campaign to retrieve Tamil Nadu, the Dy CM said let the party first save it from being gobbled up by the predatory BJP.
Further, he termed the AIADMK of Edappadi K Palaniswami as a vehicle without an engine which can’t be pushed anymore.
“Though enemies are changing, the DMK remains stronger as ever. Like Stalin of Soviet Russia who defeated the Nazi forces of Germany, our Stalin will defeat the fascist forces at home,” he added.
Then turning his attention to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor Vijay, he said “there is a vast difference between a mob and a disciplined political gathering, with ideological orientation. A rainbow is beautiful, but it doesn’t last long and vanishes soon. A mob without discipline can never dream of achieving anything.
The event was a show of Udhayanidhi. Since he is the Secretary of the Youth Wing, the event turned out to be a massive show of projecting him as the heir apparent. Not only the Chief Minister, senior DMK leaders from party veteran and senior most minister and party general secretary Duraimurugan onward eulogized him as the future of the Dravidian major.
“DMK’s adversaries are rattled that Udhayanidhi is more dangerous than Stalin,” was how Stalin praised his son.
