The school wore a festive look on 19 November in order to welcome guests and parents alike for their annual day programme entitled ‘Incredible India’. The Guest of Honour, for the occasion was Shri Nitin Kumar Saxena, DEO, Bhopal there were three more special guests including Anant Toppo, AGM, Town Administration BHEL , Ernest Bilung, AGM, Electrical Maintenance, BHEL and Vijay Kumar Das, Chairman & Editor–in–Chief of Rashtriya Hindi Mail, in addition to a host of other illustrious invitees and dear parents of the students.
The Chief guests were accorded a ceremonial band welcome at the school gate before being escorted to their seats. A vibrant, bedazzled, spectacular show of talent and synergy awaited eagerly to unfold as the evening set in.
The august gathering was cordially welcomed by the school Principal Sr. Shanta, before the ball was set rolling for the programme, which aptly showcased ‘Incredible India’ with a visual feast of medley of dances and songs rightfully bringing forth the local flavour of the great culture our mighty country as well as its secular aspect which sets it apart in the world.
The programme was interspersed with the mellifluous rendition of the welcome song by the school choir, a Hindi skit and a beautiful programme based of sustainable environment put up by the students of classes I and II.
A taste of the freedom struggle was also given by the sacrifice of our brave hearts like ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ whose portrayal was a scene-stealer. A group of sonorous Theresians Creused along ‘Accapella’ with great finesse and a befitting end to the programme come in the form of a plea for peace in the world, in the grand finale.
Equally important with of cultural programme, was the felicitation of students of classes I – XI for their academic excellence. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nitin Kumar Saxena congratulated the Management, Staff and students for coming a lamp way. He remarked that the students or this school come to learn and live to serve. He also said that success comes to those who work hard and congratulated all the prize winners.
Mr. Ernest Bilung appreciated the performance of the students and announced a sum of 10,000/- towards updating the school library with motivational books which will help the student to enrich their personality. The vote of thanks was proposed by the school P.M, Ms. Saloni Katre.
On the whole, it was a beautiful programme, well executed and gave joy to lot of people.
