- Mahalakshmi and Maharaj Agrasen Aratis illuminate Bhopal
Bhopal: The spirit of community and devotion shone brightly on Sunday, as the Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Mahasabha organized a grand Mahalakshmi and Maharaja Agrasen Maha-Aarti to commemorate Agrasen Jayanti. The event, held at the serene Karuna Dham temple, drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of devotees and community leaders.
The celebration was marked by a vibrant atmosphere of spiritual reverence, with hymns and chants echoing through the temple premises. The Maha-Aarti, a special ceremony of devotion, was led by the Mahasabha’s President, Pankaj Mittal, and General Secretary, Om Prakash Agrawal, alongside Kamal Garg and many others. It served as a powerful tribute to Maharaja Agrasen, a legendary ruler and revered symbol of prosperity and social harmony for the Agrawal community.
Beyond the spiritual observance, the event also highlighted the community’s future leadership. A special ceremony was held to distribute appointment letters to the newly appointed members of the Mahasabha’s Women’s Wing. This act symbolized the organization’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring their active participation in community service and initiatives.
The event concluded with the distribution of prasad (blessed food), fostering a sense of shared fellowship among all who attended. Prominent attendees included Shashi Gupta, General Secretary of the Women’s Wing, Brijlata Goyal, Radha Mittal, Gayatri Garg, Anita Mangal Jain, Mamta Singhal, and a host of other dedicated members who contributed to the event’s success. Their presence underscored the unity and collective strength of the Agrawal community in Bhopal.
