Special train service for Rewa for Raksha Bandhan passengers

Bhopal: In response to the increasing number of passengers traveling to Rewa for Raksha Bandhan, the Railways have announced a special train service. Recognizing the surge in demand, the decision to operate this train was made six hours in advance. The ‘Raksha Bandhan Ektaar Express Special’ (Train number 01667) will depart from Rani Kamalapati (RKMP) station in Bhopal at 12:40 PM on August 9.

This one-day-only service aims to alleviate the travel burden on passengers. The train is scheduled to arrive in Rewa at 10:50 AM the following day. It will consist of 17 coaches, including 12 sleeper coaches, 3 general coaches, and 2 SLR coaches.

Bhopal Railway Division spokesperson Naval Agarwal stated that the demand for travel to the Rewa belt peaks during Raksha Bandhan each year. With all seats on regular trains for August 8 and 9 already booked, the introduction of this special train was deemed necessary to accommodate the additional crowd.
