New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Friday accused the AAP of trying to avoid a debate on pollution in the Delhi Assembly.
He claimed that Opposition leaders walked out of the House and that Leader of Opposition Atishi did not attend the proceedings. He said that after ruling Delhi for 11 years, former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had gone to Punjab, while Atishi had gone to Goa, and AAP MLAs left the Assembly.
“They first leave the House and then say they want a discussion,” Sirsa said. He alleged that AAP’s failures over the last 11 years were so serious that the party did not want to face a debate on pollution.
Sirsa further claimed that AAP MLAs had been given strict instructions by Arvind Kejriwal to ensure that no discussion on pollution takes place in the Delhi Assembly.
He said the people of Delhi should know that the MLAs they elected were avoiding discussion on an important public issue.
