Singhar joins Bhagoria Fair, seeks apology over tribal remark

Bhopal/Alirajpur: Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Umang Singhar, on Monday attended the historic Bhagoria fair in Alirajpur, where he participated in traditional festivities alongside local representatives and thousands of tribal residents. MLA Sena Mahesh Patel and Tribal Development Council vice-president Mahesh Patel were also present.

Speaking to the media, Singhar referred to the reported presence of Kailash Vijayvargiya in Alirajpur and questioned whether he would apologise to the tribal community over his earlier alleged remarks. “Will he seek forgiveness from the entire tribal society?” Singhar asked, asserting that the dignity and identity of Adivasis must remain paramount.

Amid the rhythmic beats of mandal and dhol, Singhar joined dancers in traditional attire, describing the festival as a symbol of tribal pride and unity. He extended warm greetings to the people of the State and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding tribal culture, traditions and rights.
