New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong today held talks with union Health Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda and also held a meeting with Indian business leaders.
The Singapore PM, who arrived yesterday on a three-day visit, said he had held wide-ranging talks with union Health Minister Nadda.
“Had a wide-ranging exchange which included the Indian government’s priorities and key developments with India Health Minister and BJP President @JPNadda today.
BJP leader and union Minister Nadda said he had met the Singapore PM as part of the Know BJP initiative.
“Met with the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lawrence Wong, in New Delhi as part of the Know BJP initiative.
“We had a meaningful exchange on strengthening party-to-party relations and institutionalizing delegation-level interactions. I highlighted the BJP’s ideology, its organizational model, and its role in driving India’s Development Journey.
“We also exchanged views on expanding collaboration in healthcare and reaffirmed our shared commitment to work together in advancing the well-being and prosperity of our people.”
The Singapore PM, who held talks with union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman last evening, held a roundtable meeting with Indian business leaders, organised by the CII.
In a post on social media, the Singapore PM said they had held talks on deepening cooperation in areas such as AI, biotech, green energy and semiconductors.
“Singapore’s confidence in India is built on consistent actions and a strong track record. We have been India’s largest foreign investor for the past seven years, and India’s top trading partner in ASEAN. These close ties are reinforced by the many Indian enterprises represented in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
“I had a productive exchange with business leaders from the CII Core Group today. We discussed how companies on both sides can deepen cooperation in areas such as AI, biotech, green energy and semiconductors. This will not only open up new opportunities for our economies, but also strengthen the dynamism and growth of Asia as a whole.”
The Singapore PM is to hold bilateral talks with PM Modi tomorrow, which will see the signing of some MoUs.
