Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) Ratibad, Department of Civil Engineering conducted three days short training programme on Water Conservation Techniques. The training was sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishvavidyalaya (RGPV) under third phase of Technical Education quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III).
The three day training programme was aimed to create awareness on principles and policies of rainwater harvesting, wastewater management and green building initiatives, rating systems and certification process. The programme comprised of expert lecture series and seminars for students and faculty members of other Institutions by registrations.
Mr Nirav Saraiya – Director N.S. Associates enlightened the participants on Principles & Policies of Rainwater Harvesting Rural and Urban whereas Dr. Shankar Chandrashekhar, CEO – Vision Earthcare Pvt. Ltd on Waste Water Recycling via CAMUS-SBT.
The second and third day got highlighted with sharing of knowledge by Dr. Lalit Mathur, Scientist – CGWB, Bhopal on importance of hydro geological & borewell survey in rainwater harvesting, Mr. Kaushal Lodaya, Member – MPECBC on Madhya Pradesh Energy Conservation Building Code, IGBC Rating System and Water Conservation Techniques followed by a valedictory ceremony with Chief Guests Dr. Manish Mudgal, Senior Principal Scientist AMPRI Bhopal and Mr. Sudhir Kalra, Retired Superintendent Engineer PHED.
The training programme was attended by over 100+ students and 60+ faculties of various colleges and institutions of Madhya Pradesh. Principal Dr Jyoti Deshmukh, Head of Department Civil Engineering, Asst Prof. Swajit Singh Goud and Mr Rahul Mishra,General Manager SISTec Ratibad extended thanks to speakers and presented them mementos.
