Bhopal: A video showing a young man being brutally assaulted and forced to beg for forgiveness has gone viral, highlighting a growing sense of lawlessness in Old Bhopal. The incident, which took place in the Western Railway Colony area, has led to a police report being filed at the Government Railway Police (GRP) station.
The victim, 20-year-old Vivek Yadav, a resident of Azad Market, reported the incident to the police. According to Yadav’s statement, he was called to a meeting near the railway ground by Divyansh Soni at around 11:30 PM on August 9, 2025. Upon arrival, Soni and several other unidentified individuals allegedly assaulted him with kicks and punches while verbally abusing him. The assault only stopped when a passerby, Pawan Yadav, intervened, after which the attackers fled the scene.
Yadav has since undergone a medical examination and has formally requested that the police take action. The viral video has sparked outrage and concern among citizens, with many questioning the deteriorating law and order situation. The victim and his family are now hoping for swift and fair justice from the police.
