Mumbai, July 9 (UNI) Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad beat up a canteen employee of the MLA’s residence, over the issue of food being bad. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his displeasure over the incident.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Anil Parab raised the issue of MLA Gaikwad’s act in the Legislative Council today. He demanded that Sanjay Gaikwad be suspended.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while expressing his displeasure, said that the Speaker should take cognizance of the matter and take action.
After that, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde reacted and gave a strong message to Sanjay Gaikwad.
Eknath Shinde said that beating of the employee by Sanjay Gaikwad is not justifiable.
Shinde said that if there are complaints about the quality of food, legal action can be taken for it. Shinde also clearly said that beating cannot be an option. Legal action can be taken against anything that is wrong. But beating is not right. “I will explain the issue to Sanjay Gaikwad. I have told him even now that it is not right to do this. We do not support this,” Shinde said in house.
