Bhopal: Under the PM Shri Free Air Ambulance Yojana, Shekalal Harle, a resident of Chakola, Betul, was airlifted from Betul district at 11.44 am on Wednesday and admitted to Hamidia Hospital, Bhopal for treatment. Notably, the facility of free air ambulance has been started in the state to provide immediate relief to patients in emergencies. Harle is the 13th patient in the state to have availed the benefit of the PM Free Air Ambulance Yojana.
Resident of village Chakola of Pattan tehsil of Betul, 51-year-old Shekalal Harle, had fallen a day earlier while plastering the balcony. Due to the spinal fracture caused by the fall, he was referred to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal due to the complexity of the operation. On the instructions of Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi, the district administration made preparations to send Harle by air ambulance following which the patient was airlifted and brought to Bhopal for treatment immediately. Harle’s treatment has started under the supervision of senior doctors.
Expressing gratitude to Dr. Yadav, the members of Harle’s family said that the facility of Air Ambulance Scheme, run in the interest of patients, is proving to be a ray of light for the lives of the poor. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Uike said that it normally takes 4 to 5 hours from Betul to Bhopal. But this distance will be covered by air ambulance in just 35 minutes.
