Shefali Shah returns for ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Shefali Shah is back as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in the highly anticipated third season of Delhi Crime, set to premiere on Netflix on November 13.

Directed by Tanuj Chopra, Season 3 features returning cast members Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh, Rajesh Tailang as Bhupendra Singh, Jaya Bhattacharya as Vimla Baradwaj, and Anuraag Arora as Jairaj Singh.

Joining the ensemble this season are Huma Qureshi, Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar.

Reflecting on stepping back into the role, Shefali Shah shared in a statement, “Returning as Madam Sir always feels deeply personal. Her significance, both to me and in today’s times, has only grown stronger in my eyes. Vartika is fighting an enemy that not only crosses borders but also exists in the shadows of everyday society. Human trafficking isn’t just the act of a few, it’s a symptom of a society that looks the other way. But Vartika, true to who she is, keeps fighting anyway, even if it means saving just one life.”

Huma Qureshi, who joins the series as Meena, spoke about the complexity of her character: “Playing a negative role, especially someone like Meena, was both powerful and unsettling. She’s shaped by trauma, yet she wields immense control—a woman who is both victim and perpetrator. That’s what drew me to ‘Delhi Crime’, its honesty. It never glorifies or sensationalises — it confronts uncomfortable truths that often hide in plain sight.”

With its gripping storytelling and grounded realism, Delhi Crime Season 3 promises another hard-hitting narrative, this time tackling the dark world of human trafficking.
