Shakespeare’s enduring magic celebrated at RNTU’s 5th ‘Fete’

Bhopal: Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) resonated with the timeless brilliance of William Shakespeare at its 5th annual ‘Fete de Shakespeare’. Organized by the Department of Humanities and Liberal Arts in collaboration with the Language Teaching Center and Srijan Club, the festival celebrated the enduring legacy of the Bard, drawing enthusiastic student participation and fostering a profound appreciation for literature.

The event was graced by Dr. Vinita Mohindra from MANIT, who lauded Dr. Ruchi Mishra Tiwari’s leadership in sustaining such vital literary engagements. Dr. Amrita Singh, an alumna and English teacher, offered insightful perspectives on Shakespeare’s creative impact. Dr. Vanita Saxena commended the students’ dedication and imaginative presentations, further inspiring them.

The presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. R. P. Dubey and Registrar Dr. Sangeeta Chaudhary underscored the university’s commitment to literary endeavors. A moving video showcased the festival’s evolution from its online inception to its successful five-year run.

The grand finale featured a captivating stage performance of a Shakespearean comedy by Tagore National School of Drama students, guided by Mr. Morris. Their vibrant acting enthralled the audience, bringing Shakespeare’s wit and wisdom to life. The ‘Fete de Shakespeare’ stands as a testament to RNTU’s dedication to nurturing literary appreciation and providing a platform for creative expression.
