- Pull woman from Motia Talab suicide attempt
Bhopal: In a heart-stopping incident in the Shahjahanabad area on Wednesday, police personnel acted quickly to save a young woman from a suicide attempt, proving that “angels aren’t just in the sky, some wear uniform.”
The dramatic event unfolded when the young woman jumped into the Motia Talab (pond) in an attempt to take her own life. Head Constable Chandrakant Sharma, Sub-Inspector Madhav Singh Parihar, and other Shahjahanabad police station staff rushed to the scene.
Displaying remarkable promptness and courage, the team entered the water and successfully pulled the woman out to safety. She was then brought back to the police station where counselors spoke with her and offered support.
Following the intervention, the woman was safely handed over to her family. The police’s sensitive and life-saving action has drawn widespread appreciation, once again highlighting the humanitarian side of the Bhopal police force.
