Shahjahanabad Police crack robbery case, arrest four

Bhopal: Shahjahanabad police have successfully cracked a violent robbery case, arresting four individuals who allegedly used knives to threaten and rob a commuter and his friend near the Nadra Bus Stand area on November 20, 2025.

Victims forced off scooter and robbed at knifepoint

The victim, Mohammad Faizan, reported that four suspects on two separate vehicles chased him and his friend, Adil, while they were returning home around 3:00 AM. The assailants forcibly stopped their scooter near the ongoing Metro construction site on the Bhopal Talkies to Qazi Camp road.

The suspects allegedly punched and slapped the victims before snatching Faizan’s mobile phone and threatening them with a knife, warning they would be killed if they did not flee. The accused then stole Faizan’s unregistered scooter and fled.

Acting on directives from Police Commissioner Hari Narayan Chari Mishra, a specialized team utilized CCTV footage and technical surveillance to identify the perpetrators. The arrested individuals are Haider Ur Rehman (22), Muin Khan (20), Numan Ali, and Arman alias Araru (19). Two of the main accused, Muin Khan and Haider Ur Rehman, have prior criminal records involving assault and threats in Bhopal.

Police have recovered the stolen unregistered scooter and the vehicle used in the crime. Further investigation is underway to apprehend one remaining accomplice and recover the stolen mobile phone.
