The continuous rain in Madhya Pradesh has finally stopped. After the rain has stopped, the entire state has now been engulfed by severe cold and dense fog. This is the reason why the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog and cold in many parts of the state. With this, another system is going to be activated across the state within the next 24 hours. Due to which it is expected to remain cloudy across the state.
The temperature has reached below 15 degrees in more than 20 cities of Madhya Pradesh. The lowest temperature recorded in Umaria was 11.3 degrees Celsius. Now there will be a decline in night temperature for the next few days. At the same time, due to increasing cold, frost is affecting the fields. Due to the continuously increasing cold, farmers are afraid of getting frostbite.
Fog alert
According to meteorologists, there will be dense fog in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli and Sidhi districts. A yellow alert has been issued here for this. At the same time, there will be light fog in the districts of Shahdol division along with Raisen, Harda, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Katni, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Guna, Ashoknagar and Shivpuri districts. During the next 72 hours the minimum temperature will gradually drop by two to three degrees centigrade.
Sunday morning witnessed fog in various districts, including Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli, and Sidhi. Additionally, fog and mist were observed in Raisen, Harda, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Katni, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sheopur Kalan, and Shivpuri, along with the districts of Shahdol division.
Rain alert in these districts
While issuing the forecast, the Meteorological Department has said that in the next 24 hours, there will be rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the districts of Bhind, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Chhindwara, Balaghat, in the remaining districts. The weather is expected to be dry.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 11.3 degrees Celsius in Umaria. Apart from this, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degree Celsius in Gwalior, 12.1 in Chhindwara, 13.4 in Jabalpur, 12.3 in Sagar, 13.1 in Malanjkhand, 14.1 in Bhopal, 12 in Gwalior, 15.4 degree Celsius in Indore.
Severe cold has gripped many cities in Madhya Pradesh, reaching a record low of 7.8 degrees Celsius in Pachmarhi on Saturday night, marking the lowest temperature of the season. In the morning, frozen dew drops adorned trees and plants across the affected areas, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Ujjain.
Meanwhile, the weatherman said although the existing Western Disturbance has weakened another one is gaining strength in North India and is expected to become active from December 11. Senior meteorologist HS Pandey predicts a relatively lesser impact on the state, but the cold’s intensity is expected to rise at night due to northward winds. However, daytime is anticipated to be sunny.
