Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday rallied further 642 pts, breaching 82K level at 82,363.99 in early trade as buying was witnessed across the board, despite mixed global cues.
The Nifty too gained 180 pts at 25,033.50.
The Sensex that opened at 81,928.95, up 207 pts, within a minute it was spurted 642 pts at 82,363.99 as the Sensex registered intra-day highs and lows at 82,397.60 pts and 81,867 pts, respectively.
The Nifty registered a day’s high at 25,039.75 and a low at 24,900.45 pts.
All stocks were in the green, especially Power and Utilities, which gained more than 1 per cent.
The mid cap rose 0.55 pc and the small cap by 0.62 pc.
In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
The gainers were M&M by 1.87 pc to Rs 3068.60, Powergrid by 1.74 pc to Rs 303.25, ICICI Bank by 1.13 pc to Rs 1466.30 and Bajaj Finserv by 1.04 pc to Rs 2058.
Sole, Eternal fell 3.45 pc to Rs 229.25.
