Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Continuing it upward streak for the fourth straight session, BSE Sensex on Monday rose by 256.22 pts to settle at 82,445.21 tracking Positive cues from global peers
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) advanced by 100.15 pts to 25,103.20
BSE Sensex on Monday opened at 82,2574.55 up by 385.56 pts. Sensex rose to the day high of 82,669.00 and recorded day low of 82,369.34
The NSE registered a day’s high at 25,160.10 and a day’s low at 25077.15.
All sectoral Indices except Realty which was down by 0.11 pc ended the session on positive note with Utilities being the top gainer up by 1.65 pc
Other gainer were Power by 1.43 pc, Oil & gas by 1.12 pc, IT by 1.02 pc, Energy by 0.93 pc, Financial by 0.86 pc, Bankex by 0.69 pc, Capital goods by 0.73 pc, health care by 0.62 pc Industrial by o,72 pc and auto by 0.48 pc
The mid-cap rose 1.03 pc and the Small-cap moved up by 1.19 pc.
In 30 scrips,21 advanced while 9 declined.
Top five gainers were Kotak Bank by 3.20 pc to 2,138.55, Bajaj Finance by 2.63 pc to Rs 9,620.00, Axis Bank by 2.24 pc to Rs 1,222.00, Bajaj Finsv by 1.66 pc to 2,022.45 and Indus Bank by 1.60 pc to Rs 836.95
Top Five loser were Eternal by 1.89 pc to Rs 257.00,ICICI Bank by 1.68 pc to Rs 1,434.95, Itian by 0.76 pc to Rs 3,534.00, M&M by 0.52 pc to Rs 3,089.00 ans Adan i Ports by 0.21 pc to Rs 1,467.00
The market breadth was positive. On the BSE, 2,805 shares rose and 1,400 shares fell. A total of 130 shares were unchanged.
European markets traded lower on Monday as global investors remained cautious ahead of the upcoming US-China trade talks, which are expected to take place in London.
Asian stocks ended higher as investors awaited trade discussions between the United States and China and reviewed the latest economic data from China and Japan.
