Mumbai, Sept 10 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday climbed another 361.75 pts to close at 81,921.29 on the strong global market and fresh foreign fund inflows.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) went up 104.70 pts at 25,041.10.
A seesaw trend was seen during the session, as the Sensex opened higher at 81,768.72, rising 209 pts. It spurted 637 pts at 82,196.55, a day high before closing at 81,921.29, rallied 361.75 pts from its last close.
Meanwhile, it slipped 114 pts at 81,445.30, a day low.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,130.50 and 24,896.80 pts respectively.
The rally was maintained on the following stocks as Telecommunications was up by 2 pc followed by Power by 1.74 pc, Industrials by 1.25 pc, and BSE services by 1.20 pc.
The Mid-cap rose by 0.53 pc and Small-cap by 1.53 pc.
In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.
The gainers were HCL Technologies by 2.15 pc to Rs 1783.35, Bharti Airtel by 2.10 pc to Rs 1575, Tech Mahindra by 1.92 pc to Rs 1610.25 and NTPC by 1.73 pc to Rs 396.70.
The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.77 pc to Rs 1826, Bajaj Finance by 1.45 pc to Rs 7240.10, and Hind Unilever by 0.81 pc to Rs 2898.50.
In Asian Market, Strait Times was up 0.46 pc, Hang Seng by 0.22 pc, and Jakarta Composite by 0.76 pc.
