Mumbai, June 16 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday recovered by 202.33 points to 81,320.93 in early trade as buying was seen in IT, capital goods , oil& gas and technology shares.
The Nifty advanced by 77.70 pts at 24,796.30.
Sensex registered intraday high and low at 80,758.08 and 80,354.59 respectively.
The Nifty registered the day’s high at 24,805.00 and low at 24, 703.60 pts.
Midcap rose by 116.74 points and small cap advanced by 192.33.
Sectoral gainers were energy by 0.087 pc, FMCG by 0.02 pc, IT by 0.39 pc, utilities by 0.13 pc, capital goods by 0.28 pc, power by 0.04 pc and tech 0.57 pc.
Sectoral losers were Funancials by 0.02 pc, healthcare by 0.02 pc, telecom by 0.11 pc, auto by 0.58 pc, consumer durables by 0.03 pc and metals by 0.32 pc.
Sensex gainers were Powergrid by 1.23 pc to Rs 289.20, Bharti Airtel by 1.07 pc to Rs 1,861.90, Ultratech by 0.97 pc to Rs 11,329.45, HCL by 0.67 pc to Rs 1,706.15 and TCS by 0.66 pc to Rs 3,469.75.
Sensex losers were Tata Motors by 3.69 pc to Rs 685.25, Adani Ports by 1.02 pc to Rs 1,390.95, Axis Bank by 0.69 pc to Rs 1,197.60, SBIN by 0.44 pc to Rs 788.90 and Indus Bank by 0.42 pc to Rs 815.25.
