Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) The BSE sensex on Thursday surged 447 pts at 81,759.44 in early trade amid positive Asian Market.
The Nifty rose 173 pts at 24,825.10.
The equity market that was dropped over 800 pts in couple of sessions, opened today at 81,591.03, up 279 pts, immediately rallied 447 pts at 81,759.44 as buying was seen across the board.
In stocks, IT and Technology moved up more than 1 per cent.
The Nifty registered days high at 24,889.70 and low at 24,824 pts.
The Mid cap rose 0.43 pc and Small cap by 0.49 pc.
In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined.
The gainers were Infosys gained 1.76 pc to Rs 1599.65, Tech Mahindra by 1.97 pc to Rs 1595,
Tata Steel by 0.12 pc to Rs 9260 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.06 pc to Rs 12322.60.
In global market, US market witnessed a mixed trend, European market was down while Asian Market rise.
In Asian Market, Hang Seng was up by 0.61 pc, Taiwan Weighted by 0.60 pc and Kospi by 1.76 pc.
