Mumbai, July 5 (UNI) The BSE Sensex remained under pressure for the third straight session on Friday, declining 53.07 points to settle at 79,996.60 as selling was seen in financial services, IT, and Bankex stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 21.70 points to 24,323.85.
Though, the Sensex remained up and down during the day, it ended negative only at 79,996.60, sliding 53.07 points from its previous close.
Meanwhile, it was up 100 points to 80,149.87 points.
The stocks that fell were Financial Services by 0.59 pc, Bankex by 0.18 pc and IT by 0.13 pc.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,363 and 23,168.85 points, respectively.
In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.
The mid cap moved up 0.75 pc and the small cap by 0.70 pc.
The losers were HDFC Bank by 4.55 pc to Rs 1648.10, Titan by 1.99 pc to Rs 3269.30, Tata Steel by 0.85 pc to Rs 174.75 and M&M by 0.72 pc to Rs 2882.55.
The gainers were SBI by 2.48 pc to Rs 860.05, Reliance Industries by 2.32 pc to Rs 3180.05, Hind Unilever by 1.52 pc to Rs 379.85 and L& T by 1.52 pc to Rs 3628.85 pc.
