Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) Snapping a losing streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Tuesday ended flat at 81,510.05, rising 1.59 pts on the strength of Realty, IT, and Metal stocks while the National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 8.95 pts at 24,610.05.
High fluctuation was seen during the day, as the Sensex opened in green up 67 pts. During the day it rallied 218 pts at 81,726.34, days high. In late trade it erased earlier gains and tumbled down 326 pts at 81,182.09, a day low, before closing at 81,510.05, improving 1.59 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 24,677.80 pts and 24,510.65 pts respectively.
The stocks that moved up were Realty by 1.22 pc, IT by 0.70 pc and Metal by 0.22 pc.
The Mid cap rose by 0.30 pc and Small-cap by 0.33 pc.
In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.65 pc to Rs 1665, HCL Technology by 1.31 pc to Rs 1934.55, SBI by 1.09 pc to Rs 867.20 and Infosys by 1.09 pc to Rs 1946.35.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 1.30 pc to Rs 1581, Tech Mahindra by 0.90 pc to Rs 1765.50, Adani Ports by 0.89 pc to Rs 1255.10 and Axis Bank by 0.73 pc to Rs 1155.
