Mumbai, Sep 4 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday tanked 710 pts to open at 81,845.50 as heavy selling was seen in utilities, auto, Bankex, and capital goods stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) declined 190 points at 25,089.95.
The BSE Sensex registered intraday high and low at 82,111.52 and 81,833.69 pts, respectively.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,137.55 and 25,083.80 pts, respectively.
The Mid Cap fell 0.19 pc, while the Small Cap rose by 0.50 pc.
In 30 scrips, 5 advanced while 25 declined.
The losers were M & M by 1.67 pc to Rs 2738, Infosys by 1.25 pc to Rs 1916, Tech Mahindra by 1.25 pc to Rs 1624.05, and TCS by 1.22 pc to Rs 4457.25.
The gainers were Asian Paints by 1.75 pc to Rs 3208.95, Hind Unilever by 0.50 pc to Rs 2808, and Ultracemco by 0.13 pc to Rs 11476.
