Sensex drops 200.85 pts

Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday lost another 200.85 pts to close at 73,828.91 on weak global cues amid Trump’s tarrif threat.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 73.30 pts at 22,397.20.

In opening trade, the Sensex surged 363 pts at 74,392.54. It was further gained 372 pts at 74,401.11, days high.

In late trade it erased earlier gains and tanked 259 pts at 73,770.59, days low, before closing at 73,828.91, sliding 200.85 pts from its previous close.

The Nifty registered days high at 22,558.05 and low at 22,377.35 pts.

The stocks dragged the market today were Realty by 1.79 pc followed by Auto by 0.97 pc, Metal by 0.80 pc and BSE services by 0.71 pc.

The Mid cap fell by 0.77 and Small cap by 0.62 pc.

In 30 scrips, 8 advanced while 22 declined.

The losers were Zomato by 1.97 pc to Rs 201.40, Tata Motors by 1.95 pc to Rs 655.40, IndusInd Bank by 1.84 pc to Rs 672.10 and Asian paints by 0.98 pc to Rs 2228.95.

The gainers were SBI by 0.67 pc to Rs 727.75, ICICI Bank by 0.62 pc to Rs 1250.25, NTPC by 0.48 pc to Rs 331.70 and Sun Pharma by 0.45 pc to Rs 1683.85.
