Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday slipped 112.16 pts to settle at 73,085.94 as selling was seen in Oil and Gas, BSE services and Financial services stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 5.40 pts at 22,119.30.
Slumping over 1400 pts on Friday, the BSE Sensex opened positive at 73,427.65, surging 229 pts. It rallied 451 pts at 73,649.72, a day high. Later, it erased earlier gains and lost 401 pts during the day at 72,784.54, a day low, before closing at 73,085.94, sliding 112.16 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered a day high at 22,261.55 and low at 22,004.70 pts.
The stocks that fell were Financial services by 0.54, Oil and Gas by 0.50 pc, and BSE services by 0.49 pc.
The Mid-cap rose by 0.25 pc while the Small-cap fell by 0.70 pc.
In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.
The losers were Reliance Industries by 2.38 pc to Rs 1171.10, Bajaj Finserv by 1.86 pc to Rs 1838.20, HDFC Bank by 1.52 pc to Rs 1704.75, Adani Ports by 1.51 pc to Rs 1054 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.37 pc to Rs 11781.70.
The gainers were Ultrasemco by 2.21 pc to Rs 10337.55, Bharti Airtel by 1.76 pc to Rs 1597.25, NTPC by 1.64 pc to Rs 316.05 and Infosys by 1 26 pc to Rs 1709.35.
