- Suicide note reveals fear of false implication in terror case
Bhopal: A senior advocate died of suicide by hanging himself in the Jehangirabad area on Monday night. Police recovered a suicide note, which stated that someone had informed the lawyer over the phone that his name had been implicated in the conspiracy in Delhi blast. He was threatened that he would be arrested soon.
According to the Jehangirabad police, 68-year-old Shivkumar Verma lived in the Barkhedi area. He was a senior advocate and currently practicing law. He hanged himself in his home around 7:30 pm on Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital, where a doctor declared him dead. Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and began the investigation by preparing a Panchnama.

Police recovered a suicide note at the scene, in which Verma wrote that he had recently received a call from an unknown person who had said that his name had been implicated in the recent bomb blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.
Fraudsters told him that the terrorist plot had been funded from his bank account. He had been under stress since receiving this call. Police suspect that he was being threatened with implication in a terrorist plot, but he took his own life out of fear.
