Bhopal: In the heart of Bhopal, the Maa Annapurna Bhojan Seva Kendra, nestled at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital in Idgah Hills, has been a beacon of compassion for the past seven years. Operated by Seva Bharti Nanak Mandal, this remarkable initiative provides free food prasad to over 350 patients and their families daily. Serving individuals from across the country, it ensures that those undergoing treatment receive vital nourishment during their challenging journeys.
The service is sustained through small donations from the community, as shared by Seva Bharti’s media in-charge, Bhagwan Das Dhalia. The meals, which include rice, pulses, roti, vegetables, and fruits, are prepared with deep devotion. Each offering is first presented to God, then shared with animals and birds, and finally kept for ancestors, symbolizing respect and prayer for their blessings.
In a heartfelt ceremony, Prithviraj Chauhan, a prominent social worker and guide of Amar Shaheed Birbal Dhalia Jan Kalyan Parishad, honored the dedicated service providers. Mukesh Sharma, Chetan Patel, Manoj Soni, and other key contributors were presented with mementoes in recognition of their unwavering selflessness. This service, run by senior businessmen of the area, continues every day at 10:30 am, touching countless lives with love and care.
