Imphal, Sep 19 (UNI) Security forces continued their counter-insurgency operations across Manipur, leading to significant recoveries and arrests.
In a search operation conducted yesterday at Monbung Ridge in Kangpokpi district, troops recovered four single-barrel guns from the general area.
In a separate operation under Lamsang Police Station, Imphal West district, three active cadres of the proscribed KCP (PWG) were apprehended from their residences.
The arrested individuals were found in possession of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition, including two SLR rifles, two modified .303 rifles (one fitted with a bipod), one INSAS rifle, one INSAS LMG magazine, three INSAS rifle magazines, four SLR magazines, one .303 magazine, along with assorted ammunition comprising 27 rounds of .303, 23 rounds of 7.62mm SLR, 14 rounds of AK, and 35 rounds of INSAS ammunition.
Security forces also recovered three mobile phones and three Aadhaar cards from their possession.
Further, in another operation conducted at Andro Parking in Imphal East district, one active cadre of KCP (PWG) was arrested.
The individual has been identified as a resident of Pukhao Laipham, under Sagolmang Police Station, Imphal East district.
