Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) South Central Railway (SCR) team beat South Eastern Railway by 25-19 and won the 47th All India Kabaddi (Women’s) Championship in the final mach held at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad held here on Friday. Integral Coach Factory, Chennai stood at 3rd place.
This year, a total of nine teams— South Eastern Railway, Eastern Railway, Western Railway, Central Railway, Integral Coach Factory, North Eastern Railway, East Coast Railway and host South Central Railway took part in the championship which was conducted on league-cum- Knockout basis from October 7 to 10 , 2025.
SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, presented the championship trophy to the SCR women’s team and also distributed medals, certificates to the teams.
The General Manager congratulated the winners and appreciated the sportsmanship and sincerity of all the teams.
SCR Additional General Manager Satya Prakash, P. Koteswara Rao ( General Secretary, SCRSA & Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer/Stores & Workshop); Santosh Kumar Verma, (Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division); Principal Heads of the Departments, other senior Railway officials, sports personnel and staff were also present on the occasion and witnessed the enthralling final match.
