Bhopal: St. Joseph’s Convent, Eidgah Hills, cemented its dominance in school sports by successfully retaining the coveted St. Mariam Thresia Inter-School Volleyball Trophy, hosted by Holy Family Convent School.
The girls’ team showcased exceptional performance throughout the tournament. After battling through the quarter-finals and the semi-final against Carmel Convent, St. Joseph’s secured the championship title by defeating St. Paul’s School in a thrilling final match with scores of 23-25, 18-25, and 11-15.
The team’s standout players earned well-deserved individual accolades: Aisha Jafri was named Best Setter, Mahak received the Best Spiker award, and Nitya Thakur was honored as the Best Player of the tournament.
The victory is a testament to the dedication of the players and their coaching staff, including Head Coach Ravdeep Singh Malhari, Jitendra Shukla, and Shraddha Patil. Principal Sister Lilly, Vice Principal Sister Stenia, and the entire school community celebrated the impressive achievement.
