Bhopal: Cases of cyber fraud are continuously increasing, with scammers taking advantage of the ignorance and naivety of ordinary people, ultimately causing financial losses to both customers and Banks. State Bank of India is considered as the Banker to every Indian and a major stakeholder in the country’s financial sector. It holds a significant responsibility in raising cyber security awareness. SBI in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Police has launched an extensive State-wide cyber security awareness campaign today, which will run for the next two months across all districts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
These remarks were made by Chander Shekhar Sharma, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Bhopal Circle during the inauguration of the cyber security awareness campaign held at the Local Head Office in Bhopal. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Police Commissioner of Bhopal, Harinarayanachari Mishra, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police Akhil Patel, General Manager of Banking Ombudsman RBI, Shiv Kumar Bose, General Managers SBI, Kundan Jyoti and Shubhakanta Kanungo. On this occasion, Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra emphasized the need for people to remain vigilant and to use their mobile phones appropriately, advising against taking any actions under temptation or pressure that could lead to financial loss.
During the event, a Nukkad Natak was presented to convey the message of staying alert to avoid fraud. Two mobile Cyber awareness Vehicle equipped with Audio -Visual functionality were flagged off by the guests to raise awareness about cyber security throughout the state. The program was attended by Deputy General Manager &Circle Development Officer Ashwini Kumar along with many other senior officials and employees. At the end of the event, Deputy General Manager (CM&CS) Zulfiqar Khan expressed gratitude and Vote of Thanks to all present.
