Bhopal: Marking 219 years of remarkable banking legacy, the State Bank of India (SBI) celebrated its 70th Foundation Day with a grand cultural evening at the Administrative Academy, Bhopal. The event was graced by Chief Guest and Circle Head Chandra Shekhar Sharma (Deputy Managing Director), along with General Managers Kundan Jyoti and Omkarnath Chaudhary, senior officials, and retired officers.
The function commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address from the Circle Head, who highlighted SBI’s inspirational journey. A special video presentation showcasing the rich heritage of the bank filled the audience with pride.
The evening featured an array of vibrant cultural performances including a dance by the Ladies Club, solo singing by Pallavi, a poem by Sachin Lugun, a song by Anshul Mathur, and a group dance led by Ms. Renuka. Each performance captivated the audience.
On this special occasion, social worker Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sharma, recipient of the President’s Award for Disabled Empowerment, was felicitated. SBI staff member Jinita Sahu was also honored with a certificate of appreciation for her alertness in preventing cyber fraud.
The highlight of the evening was a live musical performance by renowned playback singer Ms. Sanjivani Bhelande, which mesmerized the gathering.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by DGM & CDO Mr. Manish Mathpal. A community dinner followed, where officers, employees, and their families participated joyfully, celebrating the institution’s professional legacy and cultural unity.
