Satendra Singh speaks about his recent success in National Championship

Bhopal: Padma Shri awardee and international para-swimmer Satendra Singh Lohiya has once again brought laurels to Madhya Pradesh with his impressive performance at the recent 25th National Paralympic Swimming Championship 2025-26 held in Hyderabad. It was attended by about 1,000 athletes and officials from across the country.

Satendra Singh Lohiya displayed his indomitable courage, technique, and determination to win the bronze medal in the 50-meter backstroke competition.

He credited his success to his mentor, Dr. B.K. Dabas, who provided him with constant guidance and inspiration.

Satendra specifically mentioned the invaluable contribution of Vinod Agarwal Sir of the Indore Balaji Foundation to his success. He provided support, inspiration, and encouragement throughout. He said, “An important source of my success is the constant support and blessings of the respected Vinod Agarwal Sir.”

Satendra is originally from Gwalior and currently resides in Indore. Suyash Jadhav of Maharashtra finished first in this event, while Abhijeet of West Bengal finished second.

Padma Shri Satendra Singh Lohiya has previously achieved historic successes in several international events—including the English Channel, North Channel, Catalina Channel, and numerous other open water swimming relays. He is considered one of the best para-swimmers not only in MP but across the country and is a source of inspiration for millions of youth.
