Bhopal: Cooperative Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang emphasized the importance of workplace cleanliness, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat initiative. He stated that cleanliness fosters positivity and should extend beyond homes to workplaces. To reinforce this, a monthly cleanliness drive is being conducted across cooperative institutions.

On Thursday, Minister Sarang inaugurated the Swabhaav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata campaign under International Cooperative Year-2025 by sweeping and cleaning the Apex Bank headquarters. Simultaneously, over 10,000 cooperative institutions across the state participated in the initiative.

Cleanliness in Conduct and Work Culture

Sarang stressed that cooperation is key to developing and rebuilding the nation. The goal for International Cooperative Year-2025 is to enhance efficiency and create a positive, impactful work environment. He also highlighted the need for cleanliness in both professional conduct and cultural values, reinforcing that a clean environment leads to a cleaner mindset.

Systematic Records and Workplace Hygiene

During his inspection of the Apex Bank headquarters, Sarang reviewed cleanliness in the branch, clearing section, and record room. He directed officials to organize electrical wiring to prevent hazards and dispose of old scrap following regulations. He warned that surprise inspections could occur at any time.

Officers and employees must maintain systematic records and cleanliness, while drivers should ensure vehicle hygiene and lift operators should keep lifts clean. The Swachhata Abhiyan aims to foster participation, engage communities in cooperative efforts, and fulfill the vision of International Cooperative Year-2025, aligning with directives from the Prime Minister and Union Cooperative Minister.
