Sant Hirdaram College Hosts “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” Week

Bhopal: As part of the Government’s ambitious Viksit Bharat@2047 initiative, Sant Hirdaram Girls’ Science College, Bhopal, hosted a week-long program from May 22 to 28, 2025, centered on the theme “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” (Development alongside Heritage). The event sought to blend India’s cultural richness with a focus on mental and physical wellness, aligning with the college’s vision of holistic education.

The NCC Naval Wing and the Sports Department led various heritage-based wellness activities, including traditional Indian exercise routines and yoga sessions. These initiatives not only promoted fitness among cadets but also deepened their appreciation for India’s ancient health practices.

The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani, who praised the cadets and organizers for their commitment. She emphasized the importance of integrating cultural preservation with national development. Dr. Shanti Sharma, CTO and Sports Officer, coordinated the event and extended thanks to all contributors.

This initiative exemplifies the college’s dedication to nation-building by nurturing students through value-driven education, cultural pride, and active citizenship, contributing meaningfully to the vision of a developed India by 2047.
