Mumbai, July 29 (UNI) The latest romantic drama “Saiyaara” has stormed past the Rs 250 crore mark in the Indian market, firmly cementing its place among this year’s biggest commercial successes.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Akshay Widhani under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the movie hit the theatres on July 18 and features newcomers Ahan Pandey and Aneet Padda in lead roles. The film has captivated audiences with palpable romantic chemistry and earnest chemistry of its lead pair.
The film’s box office trajectory has been nothing short of phenomenal. According to the report of trade website Sacnilk, “Saiyaara” enjoyed a robust opening, collecting Rs 21.5 crore on its first day.
Maintaining a steady climb, the film amassed Rs 172.75 crore within its first week. On the eighth day, the film earned Rs 18 crore, on the ninth day Rs 26.5 crore and on the tenth day, the film earned Rs 30 crore. Early figures for the eleventh day suggest a collection of Rs 9.25 crore, pushing its overall domestic haul to Rs 256.5 crore.
